I got 1st unit of EM31 Pro. Since ALT-AZ top-mounted mode is quite unique, I quickly converted into that. Fortunately the tripod mount interface was Gitzo 5-compatible. So I simply set into SJ CF tripod. That’s very user-friendly.

This top-mounted kit is carefully considered and designed to maximize the stability. I’m sure this final unit was achieved after a lot of try-n-error processes in long time. I’d like to applaud to their great efforts.
As expected, this setup is very solid. Perfect for Binoscope application, and most likely very comfortable for the planetary viewing/imaging thru the Newtonian telescopes too.
Since the mount was set upside down, I was curious how cables are connected to the mount. The original panel is behind the mount plate. So not easy to access to each port.
I realized another set of ports are available at the side. Well designed!
I am really impressed with the mechanical design and quality.
As purely my personal opinion, this is the most suitable strain wave gear mount just to myself among others in the market since I’m a big fan for binoscopes.
The mount comes with the well-made padded bag. Nice!
