Japanese-made Abbe Orthoscopic Eyepieces

I’m not exactly sure how long Ohi Kohki produced Abbe Orthoscopic eyepieces under various brand names, or how many they made. Was it 20–30 years? Hundreds of thousands?

In any case, yesterday marked the end of the era: all sizes of these classic Abbe Orthoscopic eyepieces have finally sold out.

And here is the company history of Ohi Kohki that I posted seven years ago.

I truly applaud Ohi Kohki for their outstanding work over all these years. They’ve done a truly remarkable job – and they continue to do so!
