Description
The industry-first ADC’s electronic version, which works as standalone and PC operation.
Sunobserver’s eADC is now dramatically upgraded as Version 3. The electrically controlled 4-piece of prisms (previously 2) achieves more accurate image correction automatically wavelength by wavelength basis. See the following comparison during 420nm and 690nm range with the conventional a 2-piece prism unit at the image gallery.
- The body light path : 28mm without 1.25″ nosepiece and sleeve
- M42/P0.75(t-thread) female to female without 1.25″ nosepiece and 1.25″ holder
- 260g

Game-changer! The only reason this isn’t 5-star is the awkward instruction manual. First time I’ve seen diffraction rings on a star at 17 degrees altitude. Much crisper detail on Saturn, the shadow of the rings is a nice black line. Obviously the previous (software) problems have been fixed.

Excellent device! Zero image shift when adjusting the prisms. Tight and fine prism control. Accurate elevation tracking. Very simple to use. Doesn’t required alignment with the horizon. Totally outclasses cheap manual correctors. Very pleased.

I’ve been using this eADC for a couple of months now for planetary imaging. It corrects dispercion about as good as my Pierro Astro ADC MKIII with the advantage of having no image shift, it doesn’t affect collimation, and it is automatic after the initial setup. As another user mentioned I also wish the instructions were better and also that they had a plug-in for FireCapture or NINA in addition to their stand alone app, for a variety of choice.
